Benefits of B Complex

There are 8 essential water-soluble B vitamins. Included are thiamine (B-1), riboflavin (B-2), panothenic, acidniacin, B-6, biotin, folacin and B-12.

They are essential for human metabolism, growth, reproduction, general health, converting food to energy, healthy appetite, the normal functioning of the digestive tract, forming healthy red blood cells, correct digestion, production of HCl (Hydrochloric acid) and to assist in the breakdown of fats, proteins and carbohydrates, crucial in dealing with stress, heart health, can reduce or even eliminate PMS symptoms, reduce or eliminate anemia, minimize or even eliminate depression, and preventing birth defects.

B vitamins are a family and need to be taken in conjunction with each other. Increasing one B vitamin will not benefit you unless you include the others in the family. This is a dangerous philosophy and can throw off your metabolism. What good is taking more of one vitamin if it cannot be used without the support of other nutrients?

I can’t believe what a difference they make in the way I feel. I know that when I am getting stressed out I need to take more B complex. B Vitamins are so important they are one of the few nutrients the federal government mandates to be added to foods. The problem: You cannot rely on food for enough vitamin B. Bottom Line

It is difficult to get what we need from only dietary sources. Taking a high quality supplement is a good way to go. Make sure the supplement is well balanced. You also want to make sure you supplement with a high quality multivitamin to help the nutrients absorb into your system.
